Fox Entertainment Global has hired former PBS International sales exec Sabrina Hall Aguirre, as it continues to build its team under Prentiss Fraser.
At the content sales and production arm of Fox Entertainment, she’ll be Director of Content Sales for Latin America.
Based in Miami, Aguirre will report to Cyrus Farrokh, Vice President, Sales, U.S. & Latin America and works closely with Matt Hanna, Senior Vice President, Sales, Americas.
Her hire is the latest in a spate of additions to the Fox Entertainment Global team, closely following those of Liz Tang to lead UK acquisitions; Peter Grant for sales in German-speaking Europe, French-speaking Europe and the Nordic territories; Valerie Meraz as global content and acquisitions chief; and Hanna, the former Sony Pictures Television sales exec. Former Fifth Season sales chief Fraser took over as Fox Entertainment Group President in January.
Aguirre was most recent at PBS International, the international sales arm of PBS, where she worked for almost five years. She has also been a talent coordinator for the International Emmys.
At Fox, Aguirre will work across content licensing strategy and sales in Latin America, looking to strikes deals with broadcast, cable, SVOD and AVOD buyers.
At the same time, Fox plans to increase its investment in unscripted and format sales, along with initiatives in creator-led content and vertical video.
“Fox has built a strong foundation in Latin America, and we’re deepening our presence on the ground,” said Farrokh. “Sabrina’s appointment reinforces our hands-on commitment to the region, working directly with local partners, developing standout scripted, entertainment and digital content, and engaging audiences across platforms.”
Fox’s sales arm shops the likes of Joel McHale-led Animal Control and Dan Harmon’s animated series Krapopolis to international broadcasters and streamers.
