Francis Ford Coppola’s most recent film, Megalopolis, was a self-funded passion project that reportedly cost over $120 million to produce. However, the film has flopped at the box office, grossing around $14.3 million worldwide, with some sources estimating domestic earnings as low as $7.6 million.
This significant financial loss has led Coppola to auction off seven of his multimillion-dollar watches from his personal collection at Phillips Auction House in New York.
