I’m a Celebrity contestant Ashley Roberts has spoken out to reveal she has been left angry and disappointed following a dramatic live final. The Pussycat Doll claimed that winner Adam Thomas was unable to celebrate his victory properly due to the unfolding tension. She further revealed that she feared she was going to get “smacked” as the men on the show became embroiled in an ugly row.

Adam Thomas was crowned the winner on Friday evening, but he appeared far from joyful following the chaotic scenes. The victory was overshadowed by a series of events that saw two stars storm off the set as tensions flared. The drama-packed conclusion to the series has left Roberts expressing her frustration over the atmosphere that dominated the final broadcast, reports The Mirror.

A heated argument broke out among the all-star cast over what was said when actor Adam Thomas launched a tirade at footballer Jimmy Bullard for almost causing his elimination from camp.

Speaking on Heart Breakfast today (Monday), Ashley, a contestant on this year’s show, told presenter Amanda Holden said: “It was unhinged! I felt like I was on a Jerry Springer show. It was just unbelievable! People were walking off and there were hands flying everywhere, there was yelling, emotions and crying, it was wild! I don’t feel like I’m fully recovered if I’m honest with you. […] Everybody was trying to say their piece, but David [Haye] and Jimmy [Bullard] came in with a mission, I’ll just say that. “

Amanda replied: “They all overtalked each other, Ant and Dec did really well. I think Ash you and the girls kept a dignified silence for most of it.”

Ashley then revealed she thought she was going to get hit in the chaotic scenes. “Well, I was just trying to dodge big man hands flying in my face. I thought at one point I was going to get smacked.”

Amanda told her: “Leaning right over her Jimmy was with no sort of cares. Honestly those men, I mean, don’t get me started I’m going to have to keep my mouth closed. It’s a good job I wasn’t on there.”

Ashley said that Adam Thomas was so upset at the I’m A Celeb final that he didn’t even want to win.

She made the sad admission while discussing the drama with Amanda Holden this morning.

Amanda asked: “Somebody that was in the audience of the live show on Friday said that David [Haye] did try to make amends with Adam and that wasn’t shown. Is that true?”

Ashley replied: “I don’t remember that part. David was trying to be like ‘oh buddy, you’re going to win this, you’re going to win this!’ Because of maybe the way he was going at him but Adam didn’t like that. Adam didn’t want to win because people were…”

“Feeling sorry for him?” interrupted Amanda.

“Yeah!” replied Ashley. “And he also did not enjoy the, in quotations, lads banter that was going on. Everybody is different and some people aren’t built to go back and forth like that the way David does. I think it is water of a ducks back with him.”

Amanda agreed: “Well, there’s only so much you can take isn’t there.”

Adam Thomas has been crowned the winner and “ultimate legend 2026” of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa after a chaotic live finale. The 37-year-old actor was voted the winner by public vote last night.

During a final, he was accused of being “abusive, aggressive and intimidating” by former footballer Jimmy Bullard. The episode became chaotic after David Haye joined in the conversation to accuse the show of editing footage to make Thomas look like a “victim” and, after defending the actor, Sinitta and Gemma Collins walked off set.

Thomas has hit headlines since appearing on the all-star show for his feud with boxer Haye, who he said “broke” him and pushed him to his limits, and for his row with campmate Bullard for almost compromising his time on the show. Bullard discussed their explosive row on the show, claiming Thomas dropped “c-bombs” which were not aired, and asked hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for their opinion as they had “front row seats”.

Ant McPartlin disagreed that the exchange was aggressive and said: “No it wasn’t, I was there.” Thomas responded by saying he took “full responsibility” for his actions and he has “nothing but love for Jimmy”, but Haye interrupted the exchange and said: “You’ve got a funny way of showing it.”
