Georgetown is set to celebrate Month of the Arts this October with a lineup of events that bring music, visual arts, performances, and community creativity to the heart of our city. From award-winning sculptures to strolling musicians and a headline festival, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Oct. 16 | Sculpture Tour Awards + Concert
The celebration begins Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the South Main Arts District Plaza behind Grace Heritage Center. After the 2025–26 Sculpture Tour award winners are announced, guests can grab a bite downtown before enjoying a special 7:30 p.m. outdoor screening of Frankenstein with a live performance by the Central Texas Philharmonic. More event information here.

Oct. 17 | Autumn Art Stroll
The festivities continue Friday, Oct. 17, from 4–8 p.m. with the Autumn Art Stroll across the Downtown Georgetown Cultural District. Local galleries and venues will feature artist demonstrations, live music, history and art exhibits, and plenty of opportunities to shop for unique works. More event information here.

Oct. 18 | South Main Arts Festival
The highlight of the month arrives Saturday, Oct. 18, with the fourth annual South Main Arts Festival. From 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m., the new South Main Arts District will host juried artist booths, live mural painting with Caleb Crisp, wine tastings from Wine for the People, interactive drumming, and exhibits at the Georgetown Art Center. Music fans won’t want to miss headliners Texas State Artist Shelley King and Carolyn Wonderland taking the stage. Find more information about the South Main Arts Festival and other Month of the Arts events here.

Water Conservation & the Arts
Rounding out the celebration, the City’s Water Conservation team is bringing back the Painted Rain Barrel Project Oct. 6–17, with colorful artist-painted barrels displayed downtown and auctioned to support local water education. On Oct. 16, the team will also host the Imagine a Day Without Water awareness event, offering themed giveaways, raffles, and swag at participating downtown businesses.
