The New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed one person and injured three others on Stonecreek Road in York Township.

The crash occurred north of Circle Drive on County Road 21 in Tuscarawas County.

On April 6 at about 1:13 p.m., a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling south on Stonecreek Road, while a 2012 Toyota Highlander was traveling north. The Mercury traveled left of center and struck the Toyota head-on. The Toyota then traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.

The Mercury was operated by Dalton J. Miller, 24, of West Lafayette. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office. Emily A. Harford, 21, of West Lafayette, was a passenger in the Mercury. Harford was transported by Smith Ambulance to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.
