It’s almost time for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which can only mean one thing: Artist billboards have taken over Interstate 10.
As has been tradition for several years, drivers on I-10 east and west can now spot several colorful, funky and funny billboards for some of the artists on the Coachella lineup. The annual festival is set for April 10-12 and 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
The Desert Sun spotted a cheeky billboard for pop princess headliner Sabrina Carpenter with the words “The longer you watch her set, the better it feels” as well as a “Happy Coachella!” message and red lip imprint. The billboard also doubles as an advertisement for hair company Redken’s acidic bonding concentrate leave-in treatment.
Billboards were also spotted for headliners Karol G, with a screenshot of a 2022 tweet that states “La bichota en Coachella 2022” in all caps and several exclamation points and gold stars. The tweet references the Latina’s hit 2020 reggaeton song “La Bichota.” Pop and R&B singer Justin Bieber also got in on the billboard action, with two dedicated for his wife Hailey’s skincare line Rhode.
Other artists to look out for on the drive to Indio include girl group KATSEYE, DJ Riordan, English singer Holly Humberstone, rock band Turnstile and Irish singer CMAT.
