Christian Bale is officially joining the cast of Heat 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 1995 crime classic Heat. The update was confirmed by Fox News reporter Jake Hamilton, who shared the news after speaking directly with Bale. On X, Hamilton wrote, “Christian Bale just told me: ‘I’ll be back in Chicago soon for Heat 2!’”
The sequel has been in development for decades, arriving 31 years after the original film hit theaters. The first movie starred Robert De Niro as master thief Neil McCauley and Al Pacino as determined detective Lt. Vincent Hanna. The story followed McCauley as he planned one final job while Hanna worked relentlessly to catch him.
