The ABC drama has been renewed for season 3, with new episodes likely airing in the fall of 2026.
High Potential season 2 isn’t over yet, but Kaitlin Olson just gave some major news fans will want to hear.
Ever since the hit drama began on ABC in September 2024, folks have loved following Morgan Gillory (played by Kaitlin) as a consultant for the LAPD Major Crimes Division, and her dynamic with Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata). Their teamwork often leads to sticky situations that leave people wanting the platonic duo to take their working relationship to the next level.
While we know that new episodes continue to air every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on ABC, Kaitlin decided to share a major clue about what’s happening with the future of High Potential. Posting an Instagram photo of her character as a Barbie doll, she shared with her followers that she had finished filming season 2.
“We did it. Season 2 is wrapped,” she wrote in the caption on February 14. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥️.”
Fans were thrilled by this new update from Kaitlin and hoped that High Potential would return for future seasons on ABC.
“I really hope seasons 3, 4, 5 … are already being written 😂🙏🏼,” one person begged in the comments. “Now all we need is the post that says SEASON 3 😍,” another agreed. “Congrats!!! Here’s too many more seasons,” a different follower added.
Luckily for fans, they don’t have to wait too much longer for future information on High Potential. In fact, ABC announced on March 5 that the show would return for season 3, with new episodes likely airing sometime in the fall of 2026.
