Hilaria reportedly started off the first week of rehearsals with some behind the scenes requests. The insider claimed she asked for a private studio with mirrored walls so she “could focus on her aura.”
Also, the entrepreneur allegedly banned fluorescent lighting from her dressing room, instead requesting ambient lighting to help set the mood before showtime.
Her reported demands seem to back up what another source said earlier this week about Hilaria trying to call the shots on who she’d be paired with.
According to Rob Shuter’s Naught But Nice Substack, an insider claimed the yoga instructor “lost it” after finding out she had been paired with Gleb Savchenko. She allegedly wished to be partnered with the show’s newest star Jan Ravnik, who has already gained some attention for being a backup dancer at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
“Hilaria went ballistic,” the source said. “She’s furious producers gave Jan to Jen Affleck. She thinks her chances of winning are now dead before rehearsals even begin.”
Despite how her alleged energy might come across, the source said, “This isn’t about a trophy.”
“It’s about finally stepping out of Alec’s shadow,” the insider claimed.
Hilaria first stepped into the spotlight when she began dating Alec in 2011.

While the hit reality competition isn’t set to return until Sept. 16, the full cast was announced on the Sept. 3 episode of Good Morning America.
Along with Hilaria, Alix Earlie, Robert Irwin, Witney Leavitt and Jen Affleck are amongst the season’s contestants.
The last person to win the Mirrorball Trophy was The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson.
Season 33 left big shoes to fill as it attracted the highest total viewership in over three years, with 7.95 million viewers watching the finale.
