Houston’s own Beyoncé now a billionaire, Forbes reports

Houston’s own Beyoncé has officially joined the billionaire club.

According to Forbes, the global music icon and businesswoman has reached an estimated net worth of at least $1 billion, making her one of the few entertainers to achieve billionaire status.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, who grew up in Houston before rising to international fame, has spent more than two decades building a career that extends far beyond music. Forbes credits her financial milestone to her success as an artist and entrepreneur.

The singer first rose to prominence as a member of Destiny’s Child before launching a solo career that has included multiple chart-topping albums, world tours and business ventures.

Forbes reported the update this month, cementing Beyoncé’s place among the most financially successful entertainers in the world, and adding another major achievement to the long list for the Houston native.
