The husband of a woman caught in a kiss cam cheating scandal at a Coldplay concert claims they had split up before the incident.
Andrew Cabot said he and Kristin Cabot had broken up “several weeks” before she was seen arm in arm with Andy Byron in July at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Moments after the camera focused on Ms Cabot, 52, and Mr Byron, 50, they both recoiled in horror and backed away, with a clip of the incident quickly going viral.
Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, said to the crowd in the clip: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

It quickly transpired that the pair worked together at the tech company Astronomer, Ms Cabot as chief people officer and Mr Byron as the CEO. They have both since quit.
Last week, it emerged that Mrs Cabot had filed for divorce from Mr Cabot, 61, the chief executive of Privateer Rum, a liquor company.
A spokeswoman for Mr Cabot told People magazine that Mr and Mrs Cabot “were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert”.
“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening”, the spokeswoman said.
“Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued”.

Mr Byron is not thought to have begun divorce proceedings with his wife Megan, with whom he has two children.
Ms Byron, 50, was last seen at the family’s £2m home in Kennebunk, Maine, but has yet to make any public comments.
In a press release in November announcing Ms Cabot’s initial hiring at Astronomer, Mr Byron has praised her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement.”
“She is a proven leader,” he said.
