Corey Feldman is opening up about his experience working with friend and co-star Corey Haim, and reveals he was molested by the actor on set. The Lost Boys star details how the events transpired at the time and Haim’s own confession.
In Feldman’s documentary, Corey Feldman vs the World, that released last month, the actor admits that he felt partially responsible for what happened. Mainly because “I didn’t tell him no, or I didn’t stop them from doing what they did.”
He adds that he has asked Haim to come over, but “you know when you’ve got somebody that’s trying to come on to you sexually, and you don’t want that, and you’re a kid, and you’re scared, you do whatever you can to stop it from happening, and that’s what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim, truth be told.”
The actor has previously recalled Haim as a friend, having first worked together in the hit 1987 vampire dramedy The Lost Boys. Haim and Feldman became teen heartthrobs and household names at an early age, with Haim having died in 2010 at the age of 38 from pneumonia.
While working on the vampire movie, the actors were roughly 15 and 16 years old at the time. Feldman remembers the conversation he had with Haim on set about “messing around.”
“When we did Lost Boys, Corey said to me, ‘Hey, man, let’s mess around. And I said, ‘What do you mean?’ ‘This is what guys in the business do, right? You suck each other’s d—s or you f— around. You do this stuff,'” explained Feldman.
In that conversation, Haim had brought up another famous Hollywood actor who had reportedly sexually assaulted him while working on the set of the 1986 sports movie, Lucas. Haim starred in the movie alongside Charlie Sheen.
“And I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ And he said, ‘Well, Charlie told me it was okay.’ Corey tells me that he was raped on the set of Lucas,’ revealed Feldman.
Feldman has spoken publicly about allegations of abuse in Hollywood. Following Haim’s death, the actor reported that Haim had confided in him about his own abuse as a child actor and its lasting impact on his life.
