Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has shared a candid health update, revealing she was left ‘wiped out’ for days after staying up late for the I’m A Celebrity final.

Beverley Callard has offered a frank health update, revealing she was left “wiped out” by the I’m A Celebrity final.
The Coronation Street star is courageously documenting her breast cancer experience with fans, following her diagnosis announcement in February.
Her health concerns began when she was forced to withdraw from I’m A Celebrity… South Africa last year, while recording the All Stars series with fellow celebrities including Gemma Collins and Scarlett Moffatt.
She departed the show prematurely after falling ill, with production staff advising her she needed to leave on medical grounds, and Beverley subsequently disclosed that she had lost consciousness in the camp but was unaware at the time that she had cancer.
In the run-up to the live final, Beverley confirmed she would be unable to attend and was “absolutely gutted”, stating: “I was dying to see them all, and it would have been brilliant,” reports Wales Online.

Having been absent from the dramatic finale, which saw Adam Thomas claim victory after a feud with Jimmy Bullard and David Haye erupted, Beverley has now provided a social media update.
She explained: “I’ve not posted for a few days because I stayed up really late on Friday night, well late for me, because I had to do a Zoom for the I’m A Celeb final, which was a great talking point.
“The internet went down half way through so I didn’t finish. Put loads of make-up on and stuck my eyelashes on and did all that and it was hardly worth it, but never mind.
“I was late to bed and I was wiped for days, absolutely wiped – does anyone else feel like that with one late night? Is that what cancer does to you sometimes? I don’t know.

“I’m still waiting for my results which I hope to get Thursday because that will be two weeks. I’m trying, I’m trying. Thank you for all your messages.”
In her caption, she wrote: “Haven’t posted for a couple of days… I’ve been totally wiped out! I guess this is normal but one late night and I’m out of action for days.”
The comments section flooded with supportive messages for Beverley, with one follower commenting: “Rest is recovery. Sending lots of love,” while another offered: “Stay strong lovely lady and go with what your body is telling you.”
This follows Beverley’s emotional revelation that her departure from I’m A Celebrity marked the start of her cancer journey.

After watching her exit from the ITV show, she shared: “I just watched my exit on I’m A Celeb and it made me cry all over again. Of course, I didn’t know then that I had cancer but I just knew that it was the last couple of days there that I hadn’t felt very well.”
She went on to explain: “What happened was, I was called into the Bush Telegraph and apparently, I lost consciousness for a little while… I just wasn’t feeling myself. They took me to a medical hut and they were amazing; they really looked after me and then they said you can’t go back.
“And I said ‘don’t send me home, I’m sure I’ll be fine’.” She went on: “I wanted to succeed and make it through to the end but that was the start of everything. It’s made me really emotional but I will beat this. I will beat it.”

Just days ahead of the final on the pre-recorded programme, Beverley broke the news of her departure to her fellow campmates. Gathering everyone around her, she emotionally revealed: “Hi guys, I’ve just got something to tell you all.
“I didn’t feel very well this morning… and the medics have advised I can’t return to camp. I’ve got to go home. I don’t want to go. I’m absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish.”
She disclosed that she “had a funny turn and they’ve said I can’t come back in and I’ve got to go out. I don’t want to go. I’m gutted I wanted to finish. I wanted to prove older women could do it”.
