Ashley Roberts sat down with campmates Sinitta and Scarlett Moffat to discuss family plans.
Ashley Roberts has explained why she has never had children – admitting having babies has never been a priority for her.
The 44-year-old former Pussycat Dolls singer and radio DJ was in a conversation in the I’m A Celeb camp with Scarlett Moffatt and Sinitta when the subject of kids came up. Asked by Sinitta if she had any children, Ashley replied: “I don’t have any babies, no babies. It is just not top of the list. I think I have been so driven and travelling, I don’t feel a strong passion.”
Sinitta replied: “I always say to people unless you really really want it…because it takes everything and it is your life.” Mother-of-one Scarlett then said: “And too many people become parents who actually shouldn’t be parents.”
Scarlett then added in the Bush telegraph “For me, being a mum has completely changed my whole life, and it’s something that I’ve wanted for so so long. But for other women, it isn’t.
“And I just think good for Ashley, same as good for me who wanted a child, good for Ashley, who doesn’t. We all just have to live our best lives, however that looks.”
Scarlett said to the group she tried for four years to have her child Jude, and they conceived shortly before heading to a fertility clinic. She was often asked if they would have a second child, but it “sometimes doesn’t work out that way”.
Sinitta has two children, Zac and Magdalena, whom she adopted in 2007 with her then-husband, Andy Willner.
The camp have also been discussing Sinitta’s previous relationship with Brad Pitt, which happened just as he was starting to become very famous.
Speaking on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast in 2025, Ashley, who was last on I’m A Celeb in 2012, was also asked about her stance on parenthood.
She replied: “It really never has been a priority to me. Even as a kid, I told my mom, ‘I don’t think I want kids, I don’t really care if I get married.’ It wasn’t like I was the girl planning the wedding and seeing the whole white picket fence and all that.
“I kinda kept thinking, ‘Well, maybe when I get older, that will shift,’ and I’m like, ‘It hasn’t really shifted.’ Again, who knows? I think every day, we’ve got to allow ourselves to exist in the possibility of waking up the next day and feeling different. Although, as a woman, we’ve got our biological clock.”
