Influencer Kaitlin Reagan and her late boyfriend’s best friend, Mirko Mormile,have broken up.
Reagan, 28, confirmed the split in an emotional video posted on Tuesday, May 5, on TikTok. The news comes just over one year after she and Mormile, 27, started dating. Their relationship was originally born out of the bond they built while mourning the death of Reagan’s boyfriend and Mormile’s close friend, Francesco LoPresti, who died from cancer at age 24 in 2022.
After years of documenting her grief journey and eventual romance with Mormile, Reagan told her 3.4 million TikTok followers that she is feeling “very hurt” in the wake of their breakup. While she said it “needed to happen,” the content creator declined to give many details about the situation.

“I was never trying to rage bait or do anything malicious,” Reagan said. “I never want to say anything that will change the way you see anybody. If anything, I only just tell my story because I just want you to understand my heart. So I’m gonna continue doing that, especially as I navigate this new life change.”
She recorded the video just before leaving for a European vacation with her brother, a trip she said they planned a long time ago.
“A part of me wants to just lay up in my bed and hide from the world and hide from everything, but I can’t do that because I made an obligation to take my brother on this trip,” Reagan shared. “My brother’s been packed for a week, and I am not gonna take away this opportunity from either of us. We’re not doing that. So I’m very excited to go and take a step back and use this trip to heal.”
However, she went on to admit that she’s not sure how she’ll feel in the coming week, adding, “I’m taking it day by day. I’m grieving again. Breakups are grief.”
Reagan explained that she unfollowed Mormile on social media because seeing his content “hurts,” and she is looking to “regulate” her emotions. She also urged her followers not to choose a side, especially since they only have limited context about what happened between them, and she reiterated how positively she regards her ex.

“I’m sending Mirko so much love, and I want to see him crush it like I’ve always wanted for him. I have always wanted to bring Mirko with me everywhere, because he saved my life. And you know what? I saved his, too,” Reagan continued.
“We need to heal. We’re real people, and it’s a lot,” she added. “If you know the whole story of where me and Mirko come from and how we met and the whole story … It’s a huge, huge loss on both ends.”
