General Hospital has been gearing up for something dire to happen to Dalton after all the trouble he’s caused, and the November 19, 2025 episode gave it to us in the most unexpected way.

GH has been setting us up for a Dalton (Daniel Goddard) whodunnit all week, starting with Rocco’s (Finn Carr) loved ones rallying to prove his innocence. Of course, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) would never go as far as to commit murder, but Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) have no problem fabricating their statements to make the professor look worse.
While none of that equals Dalton’s death, there was clear intent behind both Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) comments this week. While Sidwell noted that if Dalton disappears, so do the operation’s problems, Sonny blatantly told Ric (Rick Hearst), “No Dalton, no case.”
Now, things have finally taken their dire turn for Dalton. After a drunken night blabbing his secrets to Joss (Eden McCoy) and having a drink thrown in his face by Emma (Braedyn Bruner), Dalton stumbled into Wyndemere, making demands of Sidwell right in front of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). Britt, of course, handled the situation the way only The Britch would, but Sidwell had another idea.
When Britt told Dalton that no one needs him, Sidwell admitted he agreed before suddenly pulling out a gun and shooting the professor point blank.
What Happens Next?
If Dalton is dead, it’s Sidwell’s next step that may change everything. When he learns that Laura (Genie Francis) was just re-elected as mayor, destroying his plan to take over Port Charles, he may put a plan in motion that involves Dalton’s dead body and a screaming Laura from the GH weekly preview.
After all, the General Hospital spoilers for November 20 do reveal that Laura makes a shocking discovery. If this shocking discovery is a dead Dalton, it may change everything for the newly re-elected mayor.
