Colleen Hoover allegedly expressed disappointment at the feud between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, according to newly revealed text messages.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, November 13, Wayfarer Studios filed a declaration with multiple exhibits, including alleged communications between Hoover, 45, and Baldoni, 41.
Per the documents, Baldoni appeared to have copy and pasted a text allegedly sent to him by Hoover to share with his PR team in August 2024.
“It just feels like I’m on an island here,” Hoover allegedly wrote. “I know things took an awful turn, and I felt forced to choose when I did not want to, but the back and forth articles from both camps are just so upsetting and ridiculous.”

Hoover is the author of the 2016 novel, It Ends With Us. The book was later adapted into a 2024 film, which included Hoover serving as an executive producer.
Lively, 38, was one of the stars of the movie while Baldoni served as producer, star and director.
“It’s making everyone working on this movie look immature,” Hoover’s alleged message read. “Everyone is out there trying to save themselves, and now this has turned into a huge mess. I know you guys think I’ve made decisions for certain reasons but I have felt the rift from long before I ever was in contact with Blake.”

In the alleged message, Hoover claimed she was not allowed to read the script until “I was sat with readers.”
“But then all the interviews made it seem like you included me in the script from the beginning,” read the alleged message. “I have been disappointed personally by your actions many times. I appreciate that you haven’t directly said anything negative. That’s how it should be. But you are grown men with a platform. You know how to use it to protect your image. Please don’t continue to use it to harm me or mine. That’s all I’m asking.”
Court documents also reveal a text message Baldoni passed along to Hoover apologizing that she was “hurting.”
“We do not control the headlines,” he wrote. “I just want you to know that I have deeply cared about you for the past five years and that hasn’t changed.”

In December 2024, Lively sued her It Ends With Us costar and director for sexual harassment. According to the suit, Baldoni’s alleged behavior caused Lively “severe emotional distress.”
After Lively filed her lawsuit in December 2024, Baldoni’s lawyer addressed the actress’ “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” accusations in a statement to Us, claiming that Lively filed the lawsuit to “fix her negative reputation” and “rehash a narrative” regarding the film’s production.
In January, Baldoni filed his own lawsuit against the actress. In June, however, the case was dismissed.
Hoover — who removed any mention of the It Ends With Us promotional tour from her Instagram in February — was reportedly deposed as part of Lively and Baldoni’s ongoing legal drama in October.
Lively’s case is scheduled for trial in March 2026.
