Official announcement of the names on Sunday
On Sunday, 30 November at 13:30 on RAI1, the artistic director and host of Sanremo 2026, Carlo Conti, will announce the finalists of the Sanremo Festival, through which Italy’s representative for Eurovision will also be selected.
The number of participants in Sanremo 2026 will be four more than originally announced. Specifically, 30 artists will compete in the upcoming festival for the Golden Lion, as well as for the chance to represent Italy in Vienna.
The winner of Sanremo 2026 has the right to represent Italy at Eurovision 2026 if they wish; otherwise, RAI is responsible for selecting another finalist based on its own criteria.
