Love Island fans were left concerned after several Islanders were seen in tears following the explosive Movie Night aftermath
Viewers of ITV’s Love Island expressed worry after witnessing multiple contestants breaking down in tears following the fallout from Movie Night.
Monday evening’s episode (July 6) continued the chaos from the previous night’s explosive return of the beloved twist. Audiences watched as uncomfortable scenes unfolded and tempers flared while the Islanders viewed their previous conversations and interactions projected on screen.
From flirtatious moments to “affairs in plain sight”, tensions rose as the contestants reacted negatively to what they witnessed, causing rifts to form. The drama escalated as Kavan’s Casa Amor behaviour came to light, leaving Jasmine distraught and in tears.
With Kavan caught in a complicated love triangle, Charleen was also spotted crying the next morning when confiding in Mara that the footage had validated their Casa connection. She confessed: “Unfortunately I do really f**** like him.”
The sight of Charleen upset prompted anxiety among fans, with one person posting on X: “Getting a little too much for our girl Charleen.”
Another commented: “Poor Charleen.” A third remarked: “nah kavan got TWO girls crying. get me out for f******.”
A fourth contributed: “i actually feel for charleen tho bc kav did treat her like s*** he’s messed her about but why tf did she not say anything during movie night.”
A fifth agreed: “Poor charleen, she’s done nothing to deserve this. She doesn’t deserve this situation, she seems like someone who has a good personality.”
A sixth viewer commented: “I feel so bad for Charleen and Priya . They’re the only ones in this situation that are having a horrible time.”
Later, out on the terrace, Kavan told Charleen: “I brought you back that’s a big statement.” Yet he conceded that he still “likes” Jasmine.
Charleen responded: “I’ve been nothing but understanding and nice and supportive and stuff… If I didn’t like you this much, it wouldn’t be that big an issue, but it hurts.”
Watching the pair chat, Jasmine confided in Lorenzo that she would be unable to remain in the villa should Kavan continue to pursue his bond with Charleen, describing it as “too hard”. She went further, saying: “This would be me done”, unless Kavan committed to her exclusively.
Prompting fears of an imminent departure, viewers rallied behind Jasmine, with one person describing the episode as a “hard watch”, reports OK!
Another sympathised: “I feel so sad for Jasmine honestly. I understand that she messed up with Priya and slightly with Kavan but you can tell that she understands the damage her actions have caused- which is making her emotional.”
Many took to social media calling for Ofcom to be notified, with one person writing: “Where if ofcom when u need them.”
Another echoed the sentiment: “Guys please make Ofcom Reports about the unfair treatment that the producers are showing Jasmine.”
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
