Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter James Taylor will take the stage in Connecticut on Monday night.
Taylor and His All-Star Band will perform at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are still available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
The Connecticut show is one of many stops on Taylor’s summer tour. Among the over two dozen other locations slated for the tour are Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Boston, Atlantic City, N.J., and Hershey, Pa.
The singer-songwriter is known for songs such as “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Fire and Rain” and “How Sweet It Is (to Be Loved by You).” He has released over a dozen studio albums, with his most recent being “American Standard,” released in 2020, according to his website. He also made appearances in the “Simpsons” TV show and the movies “Funny People” and “Two-Lane Blacktop.”
Taylor has been recognized with six Grammy Awards, as well as 19 nominations, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2011, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000.
Taylor is familiar with the Nutmeg State, having performed at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Taylor was also once married to former Stamford resident and singer-songwriter Carly Simon.
