The pop star’s name-drop served as an ironic full-circle moment for the former LA Ramsquarterback, who confessed to having a crush on Swift in a 2018 episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with The Los Angeles Rams.
In this week’s New Heights episode, Swift charmingly shared how she leveled up her football IQ, admitting that she originally thought the quarterbacks of both teams played on the field at the same time.
“I thought everyone was there [on the field] at the same time,” Swift said. “… I thought it was like, Jared Goff is here and Josh Allen is here and [the referee] is gonna blow a whistle and then they go at each other, and it’s like, who’s gonna win?”
In an interview from Detroit Lions training camp, Goff was asked about being mentioned by the “Shake It Off” singer. Goff, who is happily married to SI Swimsuit model Christen Harper, shrugged off the frenzy around the mention, calling it “crazy” and “very cool.”
