Jennifer Lopez keeps her close circle of friends small — and it doesn’t include any famous faces.
Lopez, 56, opened up to Howard Stern during a Wednesday, October 15, appearance on his SiriusXM show, claiming she doesn’t “have a lot – any famous friends, really.”
“I think I’m shy and I don’t like bothering people, and so I don’t connect with everybody and I think they see me as standoffish,” the Maid in Manhattan star said. She went on to clarify that she isn’t actually “standoffish,” she just takes a minute to warm up.
“The minute you start talking to me, I’ll be like, ‘Blah, blah, blah,’” she told Stern, 71.

According to Lopez, she’s more of a homebody and doesn’t go out to parties often.
“The occasional drink,” she said when asked about her lifestyle. “I go out when I have to. I’m more work, do my thing, rush home, get cozy… I don’t know why. I just stay in my — I have a very small circle.”
Lopez’s appearance on the shock jock’s long-running show marks her first time sitting down with the host after decades of criticism.
The Kiss of the Spider Woman actress admitted she was “always scared to come on the show,” but added that it was more so due to the possibility of saying something she regretted.
