Singer and The Voice star Jessie J is best known for her impressive music career which has spanned years but now it looks like she is giving something else a go
Singer Jessie J has landed herself an exciting new role away from her usual music jobs. The singing sensation is the latest celebrity to sign up for CBeebies Bedtime Story.
The mum-of-one will be reading a story to viewers on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer. She will be reading an inspiring story which is about hope and being resilient.
Jessie reads My Path which is a book written and illustrated by Jana Curll. The story follows a little snail navigating life’s twists and turns. The book encourages young readers to embrace challenges and keep moving forward, even when their path ahead seems uncertain.

Speaking about her CBeebies appearance, Jessie said: “Every day, we follow our very own special path, and it can take us in many directions. My path has led me here to read you a CBeebies Bedtime Story!
“Like the little snail in the story, we might experience bumps along the way and some big mountains to climb, but I say to myself, ‘keep going Jess!’ and I hope that’s what little ones and grown-ups take from My Path too.”
She then went on to share a sweet message at the end of her appearance. She said: “Every path is special, so choose yours… and keep going. Life is one big and beautiful adventure. Choose a happy path, believe in magic and live your best life.”
CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on each weekday at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer. The programme helps to inspiring the nation to read together and helps families with their daily bedtime routine.
Jessie’s latest job comes after she has been open about having breast cancer. The Price Tag singer, 37, had surgery in the summer and is waiting for a second round.
Jessie has postponed her No Secrets UK and European tour until 2026 while she waits for a second operation later this year. She said of her diagnosis: “I’m just grateful for the lessons and grateful, honestly, for the connectivity that has given me with so many people having cancer.
“I wouldn’t have had the beautiful conversations that I’ve had. And I’ve been a better parent, I’ve been a better person. I’ve honestly not sweated the small stuff.”
She continued: “Some things that used to stress me out don’t any more, because when life turns into something that you feel like you can’t control, you just gotta sit the f*** down.” Jessie was diagnosed with cancer after found a lump in her breast in March and had a mastectomy. She said: “I had my surgery and took very little time off.”
Describing it as a “weird time”, she said: “When I had cancer and nobody knew… I wanted to make all these jokes. Now I have one post-baby boob and one orange under a bedsheet.
“It’s still quite funny but it’s not. But it is also quite funny. But I’m just really grateful that I got through it. And I’m on the other side, almost, and I’ve got a little bit more to do. But all of us are going to go through or have been through something really hard that we feel like we carry on our own.”
Jessie J’s CBeebies Bedtime Story airs Friday 28th November at 6.50pm on CBeebies and will be available on BBC iPlayer
