Fans who arrived early to The Who’s show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening (September 17th) were treated to a surprise when Slash and Steven Tyler each joined opening act The Joe Perry Project onstage.
Slash joined Perry and company for Aerosmith’s “Mama Kin,” while Tyler jumped onstage for the last two songs of the set: “Walk This Way” and “The Train Kept A-Rollin’.”

The Joe Perry Project’s lineup for last night’s show, as well as a recent summer tour, also included Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes), Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), and Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots), among others.
Aerosmith bandmates Tyler and Perry recently both performed with Yungblud as part of a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, Aerosmith and Yungblud teased a new collaborative song called “My Only Angel” set to premiere on Friday (September 19th).
Meanwhile, headliner The Who are currently wrapping up their North American farewell tour, which only has six more dates left, including a recently added final show on October 1st at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. Tickets to the remaining shows are available via Ticketmaster or StubHub.
