Johnny Depp is in hot water after his rescue dog mauled a flock of sheep and killed two of the farm animals near his UK mansion – and now, an insider tells National Enquirer that the actor is fearful he’ll be “driven out of his adopted homeland” as neighbors are upset that their livestock was attacked.
“Johnny loves all animals, and he’s deeply upset over sheep getting hurt and killed. This is the last thing he wanted to hear while he was away,” the insider says. “He wasn’t home when Bourbon, his bullmastiff rescue, attacked the sheep and killed two, but he blames himself.”
The insider reveals that the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 62, has hired a dog trainer to get Bourbon under control, but it “won’t bring back the sheep that died such a horrible death.”
“Neighbors are angry with him,” the insider continues. “Up until now, Johnny’s been able to fly under the radar, but this incident has made him front and center locally. It’s not just made farmers unhappy; others are up in arms. People don’t take kindly to these things and say irresponsible pet owners are to blame.”

The insider adds that Depp is “being watched closely by the locals who are critical of him now more than ever,” while before they just “tolerated him.”
While the Nightmare on Elm Street actor “does love his life in the UK,” he’s starting to think he might be “better off back in the USA or on his island in the Caribbean.” In 2004, Depp bought an island in the Bahamas called Little Hall’s Pond Cay.
“He’ll likely return to the Pirates franchise but it’s a bummer for him to be driven out of the UK because he’s such a bad neighbor,” the insider concludes.
On September 19, The U.S. Sun reported that Bourbon managed to slip his leash while Depp’s aide was taking him on a walk and he attacked a flock of sheep nearby.
