Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have kept a low profile as their unexpected relationship continues to develop, but those close to the pair say the pop star is enjoying herself.
The two were first seen together over the summer, shortly after Perry’s engagement to Orlando Bloom ended.
Public sightings in Paris followed, including a celebration for Perry’s 41st birthday and images of the couple spending time on a boat.
“She’s having a lot of fun with him. It’s exactly what she needs right now,” said a source familiar with the situation told Daily Mail.
“Justin keeps making a big effort to see her and she’s excited about it.”
Their connection began not long after Trudeau confirmed his separation from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023. The two had been married for 18 years and share three children.
Perry ended her relationship with Bloom earlier this year. The couple had been together since 2016 and got engaged in 2019.
They share a daughter, Daisy Dove, now five. Bloom also has a son, Flynn, 14, with his former wife Miranda Kerr.
In a joint statement shared through representatives, Perry and Bloom said they had been transitioning their relationship toward co-parenting, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is, and always will be, raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
