Pop star Katy Perry flaunted her figure in a red open back dress during her 41st birthday celebrations recently.
The Fireworks singer took to her Instagram on Oct. 28 to share a carousel of of snaps of herself with friends as she donned a stunning deep red backless gown that was paired with silver jewelry and black heels.
The mother-of-one, who has moved on from Orlando Bloom, 48, to former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 53, simply captioned the post, “Level 41.”
While Perry shared tons of snaps of herself in the gorgeous red dress, she also included a video of herself blowing out candles on a cake while backstage after a recent show on her ongoing Lifetimes Tour.
The next snap shows the cake destroyed on the ground. A longer video that features the cake’s demise has surfaced online and has some fuming online.
The clip shows Perry, still dressed in costume from the show, surrounded by her backup dancers and crew members as she blew out the candles on the large sheet cake.
She then picked up the cake and tried to chuck it at a suit-clad man wearing a headset. However, she missed and it ended up on the floor.
The former American Idol judge laughed as a few of her dancers approached the destroyed cake, bent down and scooped up some to try, per Page Six.
A “genuinely confused and upset” X user, who seemingly sarcastically claims that her mother baked the cake, posted the video and slammed Perry for her behavior.

“I wonder what having that mindset is like, to just throw away a whole cake everyone could’ve enjoyed… and then leaving that mess on the floor for someone else to clean up cause I know damn well she ain’t pick up no broom and mop after lol,” one replied.
Someone else wrote, “the craziest craziest part is that someone else is gonna clean that s— up.”
Another noted, “Never understand why people throw or push people’s faces into them, such a waste,” while a fourth said, “lowk[ey] feel bad for her crew cause they looked excited for some cake.”
Yet another person added, “Katy can’t do anything without being cringe AF.”
However, a few came to Perry’s defense, with one arguing that “she paid for it and she can do whatever the f— she wants with it.”
Someone else pointed out that “sometimes celebrities accept cakes [from fans] but ruin them to avoid possible poisoning. The decent ones try to stage it as an accident though.”
Meanwhile, Perry’s birthday post on Instagram got tons of love from fans, with one person gushing, “You look absolutely gorgeous PROOF! It only gets better.”
Another praised, “HAPPY 41st stunner! – Red is your colour!!!” A third commented, “41 years of pure glamour and beauty. Long live this queen.”
Yet another said, “She is glowing and looks happy! Happy birthday my love.”
