Kehlani is back with new music!
On Friday (April 24), the 31-year-old Grammy-winning singer debuted her brand new album, titled Kehlani.
“I am honored to present you with the album,” Kehlani wrote on Instagram after the album’s release. “Enjoy it. Live in it. Love through it. I love you, thank you God. out everywhere now 🐦🔥”

In a new interview with Complex, Kehlani opened up about the two-year process she went through while creating the album, which began with her working through some emotional baggage.
“I went and locked myself in the room, and I started randomly processing a bunch of things from 2020,” Kehlani recalled. “I started making all this weird music. All this dark, weird, and emotional s–t with my engineer.”
After getting out of her system, Kehlani resumed the process of making the album.
“When I went back to Los Angeles, I knew what time it was,” she said. “Weeks later came ‘Folded.’ I knew, ‘Oh, something’s happening.’”
If you didn’t see, Kehlani is nominated for three awards at the 2026 American Music Awards, which are taking place on May 25 with Queen Latifah as host. Kehlani is up for Best Female R&B Artist while her song “Folded” is nominated for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song. You can check out the full list of nominations here!
