Skepta has released a new EP ‘Más Tiempo Vol. 2’ and revealed he is putting “finishing touches” on his new album ‘Fork And Knife’.
The Tottenham MC has not released a full-length record since 2019’s ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’, and while ‘Fork And Knife’ does not yet have a release date, it would appear that it is on its way soon.
For now, he has released the house-influenced three-track EP ‘Más Tiempo Vol. 2’ via his own label Más Tiempo. Made up of ‘Do It SK’, ‘The Whistle Tune’ and ‘Play Me Right’, it sees Skepta making music designed for the dancefloor, in preparation for his summer-long residency at the Club Room in Hï Ibiza, where he will be playing every Saturday for 23 weeks.

Skepta has also given an interview to Esquire UK, in which he has given a major update on his new album, ‘Fork And Knife’.
“Seventeen tracks are chosen now,” he said. “A lot of the stuff on there is music I’ve made travelling the world, booking studios here and there when I can. A lot of it has that celebratory energy I get when I’m travelling. Now I’m just adding the finishing touches.”
He has also revealed that he wants the record to cover some serious topics, too. “As well as the celebratory music, I want some conscious stuff on there too. Especially right now… I feel like it’s an important time to be saying things and not bringing out an album that’s tone-deaf to the world. So, I’m adding some depth. There’s a lot of party music on there. I’m essentially a festival artist, so I make music for shows and clubs. I’m just making sure I cover all ground and speak for the voiceless.”
Explaining the record’s title, he added: “The whole idea behind ‘Fork and Knife’ is about being a child of immigrants – that simple ambition of wanting to eat well and sit at the table with cutlery. That was the inspiration.”
In addition to the Ibiza residency, Skepta has also been announced for this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival, and he is also one of the headliners for this year’s Parklife in Manchester.
While ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’ is his last album, he did release an EP collaboration with Fred Again.. last summer, including ‘Victory Lap’, which made NME’s list of the 50 best songs of 2025.
NME gave ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’ four stars, writing: “So although album five lacks the narrative that made ‘Konnichiwa’ so compelling (a victory lap for grime’s commercial renaissance, it also reasserted his DIY credentials), this sounds like a record from a rapper with gallons of creative juice in the tank.”
