GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Grammy award-winning country singer Keith Urban has cancelled his upcoming concert in Greenville.
The concert was scheduled for Thursday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
Venue representatives said Urban is on complete vocal rest after having been diagnosed with laryngitis earlier in the week.
His laryngologist, Dr. Gaelyn Garrett, said the singer should be set to take the stage for his Nashville show on Friday night.
Urban issued an apology to his Upstate fans.
“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show,” a statement from Urban reads. “I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”
