Keith Urban isn’t just making headlines for his shocking split from Nicole Kidman — now he’s raising eyebrows on stage.
During a recent performance, the 57-year-old country star tweaked the lyrics to his hit “The Fighter,” a song famously inspired by his romance with Kidman, to reference his 25-year-old utility guitar player, Maggie Baugh.
The moment, first reported by People, was captured on Instagram and shared by Baugh on September 27. The clip shows Urban singing: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
Baugh’s reaction? The same as many onlookers, two stunned emojis and the caption: “Did he just say that👀.”
The eyebrow-raising lyric switch came just days before Kidman, 58, filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce filing and end to her 19-year union to Urban.
The couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
As the National Enquirer previously reported, multiple insiders told TMZ on September 30 that Urban already has a new woman in his life.
“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” one insider told the outlet, (TMZ did not ID the rumored woman or hint at who she could be.) “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
A second insider noted that the chatter is “all over Nashville,” where the former couple resides.
