Country music star Keith Urban removed his wedding ring for the first time since Nicole Kidman filed for divorce earlier this week.
While the 58-year-old Hollywood star strived to save her marriage with the Grammy Award winning 57-year-old singer-songwriter, she officially called it quits, although it was allegedly over months ago.
Nicole was reportedly was “blindsided” by her husband’s decision to end their marriage after 19 years, which included many years of her supporting him in his battle with alchohol, according to The Mirror. Keith already revealed that he “nearly blew up” their marriage a year in. Since his and Nicole’s breakup, Keith was recently seen with his ring finger empty, appearing to be in a good mood as he performed his first concert after the split made headlines.
It was evident from the photos of him singing during his gig that he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring when he grabbed hold of the mic to sing to his audience.
Keith was being his rockstar self, sporting a black graphic T-shirt and jeans as he took the stage at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvannia.
Keith cut the song “The Fighter” from the show, being that his love for his now estranged wife Nicole inspired the record. Instead, he replaced it with his song “Wild Hearts,” an encouraging song about chasing your dreams.
On Monday, it was announced that Nicole and Keith had separated, and by Tuesday, it was revealed the Oscar-winning actress had filed for divorce. Sources have claimed that Keith has found romance again with “another woman.” Court documents that were filed at Nashville’s Davidson County Circuit Court list that the former couple have “irreconcilable differences”.
Earlier this year, Keith reportedly bought his own property secretly, and both him and Nicole have told friends that the two now communicate “largely by phone”.
Amid their divorce, a childcare plan for their two underage daughters 17-year-old Sunday and 14-year-old Faith, was submitted for a judge’s approval, and has Nicole as the primary residential parent.

It states that neither of the couple would receive child or spousal support from the other in the court filing. Additionally, each of them will get to keep all of the assets in their name, which include copyrights and royalties.
Nicole has since been pictured hanging out with her sister, Antonia Kidman, shortly after news of their divorce broke. However, mere days before she and Keith made headlines for their separation, she was pictured wearing her wedding ring.
“They are both lovely, amiable, gregarious individuals and, on paper, it should have worked – and for many happy years it did,” an insider told The U.S. Sun. “But Keith has long had his demons and it was vital to Nicole that he didn’t drink if he was to make their marriage work.”
