Kelly Clarkson‘s talk show is slated to return one month after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
On Friday, August 8, TMZ reported that the seventh season of The Kelly Clarkson Show will air this fall, with new episodes debuting in September.
Blackstock — who shares kids River, 11, and Remington, 9, with the singer, 43, — passed away at 48 years old on Thursday, August 7, following a lengthy battle with melanoma.
The “Since U Been Gone” hitmaker’s entire staff reportedly knew about the music producer’s condition, but kept quiet about it to respect the former couple’s privacy, according to TMZ.

The American Idol winner and Blackstock tied the knot in 2013, separated in 2020, and finalized their divorce in 2022.
As Star previously reported, Clarkson has had a jam-packed schedule recently. There has been no word yet on whether she will still serve as a judge on The Voice: Battle of Champions, or when she will take the stage for the remainder of her Studio Sessions residency.
On Wednesday, August 6 — one day before Blackstock’s death — Clarkson took to Instagram to let fans know she would have to postpone the August shows of her Las Vegas residency.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill. At this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” she penned. “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
