Proud mom Kim Kardashian is celebrating daughter North West’s 13th birthday, marking the special milestone with a loving tribute.
“🩵Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!)🩵,” Kardashian, 45, wrote in her Instagram caption on Monday, June 15, alongside pics of her first-born child through the years including a photo from when she was an infant. “I can’t believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There’s no one like you my baby girl! I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the aliens galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond. 🖤👽🛸🩵💙”
North is one of four kids that Kardashian shares with ex Kanye West. The former couple are also parents to Saint, Chicago and Psalm, whom they welcomed during their marriage from 2014 to 2022.
The first photo of North showed her making a major fashion statement with extra-long, icy-blue hair and a fuzzy hat. She paired the vibrant look with a black oversized high-neck top with a graphic design. Another close-up snapshot of Kardashian and North had the newly-minted teen smiling big for the camera while flashing her elaborate nails as her mom rocked a faux fur coat.
North’s grandma, Kris Jenner, also shared her own heartfelt message in honor of the momentous occasion. “Happy Birthday my amazing North! You are beautiful, brilliant, creative, funny, and smart, and you have such a love for life and everything it has to offer,” Jenner, 70, gushed.
“I love watching you grow, and seeing you find your own path and passions has been such a joy, and I am so proud of the incredible young lady you are,” she went on. “Keep dreaming big and shining bright… I am so proud of you!! We all love you so much!! Lovey xo @northwest.”
In recent years, North has been following in her dad’s musical footsteps. She notably took the stage on Friday, June 12, at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2026 music festival in Illinois, weeks after the release of her first EP, N0rth4Evr, on May 1.
Kardashian spoke out about her daughter’s edgy sense of style last fall, sharing during a “Call Her Daddy” podcast appearance that she lets North express herself creatively.

“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.’ You know, it makes her so happy,” the Skims cofounder revealed in October 2025. “I would never take that creativity away from her … I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can.”
Kardashian added, “I think like any mom of a teenager or a preteen, unless you’ve been here, please, we just need a little bit of grace.”
