Reality TV star Kim Kardashian disclosed she has been diagnosed with a frightening medical condition – and she attributed it to her turbulent divorce from Kanye West.
The mother-of-four shared during the Season 7 premiere of The Kardashians that while getting an MRI scan, doctors discovered a “little” aneurysm in her brain. The condition involves a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel within the brain.
Brain aneurysms are widespread and most are not dangerous, particularly when they’re small.
Nevertheless, aneurysms must be monitored through routine check-ups since there’s a possibility of bursting – and should this occur, they could trigger bleeding in the brain, referred to as a hemorrhagic stroke. Throughout the episode, Kim, 45, informed her elder sister Kourtney Kardashian, 46, that medical professionals had detected an aneurysm in her brain.
Kourtney, alarmed by her sister’s disclosure, placed a hand over her heart and exclaimed, “Woah.”

The show then displayed Kim having an MRI, with scans revealing images of her brain. At one moment, Kim mentioned doctors informed her the aneurysm was probably triggered by stress, reports The Mirror US.
Another segment featured Kim exiting the MRI machine and discussing her stressful divorce from her former husband Kanye, 48, who fathers her four children. While speaking on the phone, Kim questioned, “Why the f— is this happening?” The former pair were wed from 2014 to 2022, when they completed their divorce proceedings.
They share four children – North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six.

Discussing the rapper Kanye, Kim revealed in a confessional, “People think that I have the luxury of walking away. My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.”
She then declared, through tears, “I’m happy it’s over.”
Kim was also captured telling her sister Khloe Kardashian, 41, and her mother Kris Jenner, 69, on the program that she had endured “the hardest week” of her life following the diagnosis.
The reality television personality also disclosed that she hadn’t experienced a psoriasis flare-up since her split from Kanye – but mentioned that while shooting Ryan Murphy’s series, All’s Fair, she began struggling with skin breakouts once more. The autoimmune condition triggers red, itchy and scaly patches on the skin, typically appearing on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back.
Kim noted that she was “very tested” throughout her divorce and she dismissed speculation that she is preventing their children from seeing their father. She also voiced her concerns that Kanye might have additional public meltdowns, noting that he never offered an apology to her for the statements he made publicly about her.
According to the Mayo Clinic, brain aneurysms are believed to form and grow due to blood pressure on a weak area of the vessel wall, which can cause the aneurysm to enlarge. Most unruptured aneurysms don’t present symptoms, particularly if they’re small, and are often discovered during imaging tests for other conditions.

However, a ruptured aneurysm is a severe condition that usually results in a harsh headache. Additional symptoms might include nausea and vomiting, a stiff neck, blurred or double vision, light sensitivity, seizures, loss of consciousness, and confusion.
Immediate medical attention is required in such cases. If an unruptured aneurysm presses against brain tissue or nerves, it could result in pain or other symptoms.
