British artist Klein has released the official video for “let it sink in”, a highlight from her latest mixtape sleep with a cane.
The visual builds on motifs from her earlier informa video, including her signature use of “visual sheet music”, and serves as a tribute to the 2009–2013 era of Black UK YouTube #tag videos—a defining moment in early Black British digital culture.
The release arrives ahead of the London screening of Kahlil Joseph’s BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions, for which Klein composed the score. The Sundance-premiered film weaves archival and contemporary footage into a layered exploration of Black life, a theme that resonates throughout Klein’s own work.
On sleep with a cane, Klein filters UK rap through experimental, ambient textures and folklore influences, reflecting on self-surveillance and personal memory. Written, produced and performed almost entirely by Klein, the mixtape features guest appearances from Ecco2k on “young, black and free” and Space Afrika on “trident”.
