Kristi Noem made a high-profile visit to the southern border in Santa Teresa, Texas, where she painted sections of the border fence black at Donald Trump‘s behest, aiming to make it “so hot to the touch that criminal illegal aliens won’t even try.”
The United States Secretary of Homeland Security was captured on camera applying black paint to a portion of the barrier, later sharing the images on her Instagram account. She sported jeans, cowboy boots, and an army green button-down shirt paired with a coordinating baseball cap.
The post triggered a wave of criticism in the comments section, with one user noting, “The South Park jokes write themselves,” alluding to the animated show’s savage portrayal of Kristi in Season 27’s second episode.
The current season of South Park pulled no punches in its mockery of Kristi, alongside Trump, JD Vance, and Karoline Leavitt. Episode 2, entitled ‘Got A Nut,’ features Mr. Garrison losing his position and reluctantly joining ICE.
The episode portrays Kristi with a constantly melting face requiring repeated reconstruction, while also depicting her killing numerous dogs—a reference to her controversial shooting of the family’s 14-month-old puppy, Cricket, reports the Irish Star.
An unaired scene from the August 6 episode showed Kristi opening fire in a pet store.
Kristi’s post was accompanied by a lengthy caption, which read, “Today marks seven months of @potus Trump’s second term. When we got to work, America faced the worst border crisis in history. Today, that crisis isn’t just under control- it’s been obliterated.

Detractors of the former South Dakota governor have begun dubbing her ‘Cosplay Kristi’ due to her wardrobe selections, which frequently feature oversized cowboy hats and body armor.
Her painting post attracted remarks such as “Why the Castro jacket and hat?” and “ON THIS EPISODE OF TOOLBELT DIVA.” One harsh critic commented, “Cosplay Botox barbie is destroying America, and her face, and shooting all the dogs.”
