Kyle Cooke revealed his plans to split amicably and avoid a lengthy financial battle in his divorce from Amanda Batula.
The “Summer House” star told People he wants to do a “walkaway” divorce “in lieu of a prenup” as they begin legal proceedings.
This decision means they would both leave the marriage with the assets and property already in their possession, rather than seek financial concessions from one another.
During the interview, Cooke also revealed it was Batula who took the first step forward in the legal process.
He recalled receiving an email from her lawyer in mid-March — right when rumors of her romance with their “Summer House” co-star West Wilson started swirling.
At the time, Cooke thought the move was strange as he knows Batula as “someone who doesn’t take a lot of initiative.”
“It was kind of weird,” he remembered. “I’m like, ‘Wait, is there some ulterior motive in terms of why she’s all of a sudden expediting the divorce?’”
The Loverboy founder, 43, said he now understands his estranged wife made the move because she and Wilson were already in a “full-blown relationship” by that time.
Notably, Cooke and Batula did not sign a prenuptial agreement before their September 2021 wedding — a decision the swimwear designer admitted last year that she regrets.
“I messed up. I messed up major,” Batula, 34, confessed in a July 2025 episode of Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast. “It was connected to divorce, it always felt so messy. It just didn’t feel like a smart thing to do, so we didn’t sign one.”
She then advised those listening, “Everyone should sign a prenup. Let me tell you now. Protect your assets, for them to protect theirs, like, you have no idea what’s going to happen.”
Last month, Page Six exclusively reported the estranged pair hadn’t filed for divorce yet because they are still sorting through financials.
Additionally, we were told Cooke wants to let Batula initiate the process — similar to how Ben Affleck reportedly “let” Jennifer Lopez file for divorce so she “wouldn’t look like the villain,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
The former couple announced their separation Jan. 19 after four years of marriage.
Two months later, Batula confirmed her secret relationship with Wilson, 31, following weeks of speculation.
The duo had kept it a secret from their entire “Summer House” crew — including Cooke and Ciara Miller, Batula’s former best friend who previously dated Wilson.
Despite harsh backlash, the couple seem to be going strong and were flaunting their relationship during their Italian getaway last week as the “Summer House” Season 10 reunion aired in the US.
As for Cooke, he’s been making headlines for making out with fans during his DJ tour and is also reportedly “hooking up” with “Southern Charm” star Salley Carson.
