Last night, Lady Gaga had to unexpectedly cancel her final show in Montréal, Canada, due to a medical emergency.
After back-to-back performances at the Bell Centre on April 2 and 3, the “Abracadabra” singer was set to take the stage one more time on Monday night, before flying back to the United States for the final stops of her Mayhem Ball. However, she was forced to cancel the performance at the advice of a doctor—news which she revealed on her Instagram Story mere hours before the show.
“Hi everyone. I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,” Gaga wrote. “I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse. My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”
She added: “I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me. Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”
The Mayhem Ball kicked off in July 2025 and was originally set to conclude in January, following a series of shows in Japan. Then, last September, Gaga announced additional dates throughout North America, extending the tour through April 2026.
That same month, the Grammy winner was forced to cancel a show set to take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, after suffering from vocal strain. It was rescheduled to this past March.
Later this week and next Monday, Gaga is set to perform the final shows of her Mayhem Ball in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and New York City.
