Lainey Wilson has teamed up with Bing Crosby …
“Wait, back the truck up,” Wilson might say.
Yes, through the magic of animation, Louisiana’s Wilson and the late crooner Cosby appear together in the country star’s new holiday video, her take on the classic, “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”
As the video opens, ACM Entertainer of the Year Wilson gazes into a Christmas snow globe. The action moves to her country cabin, where the bell-bottomed Wilson, in her animated self, is making cocoa and watching a holiday TV special starring, guess who. Co-stars include a pair of opossums, a mallard duck and a doggie, before Wilson’s duet partner makes an appearance at the end.
“Let It Snow” is also featured on Wilson’s new EP, “Peace, Love, & Cowboys (Holiday Edition).” In addition to the title track, there are instrumental versions of both songs as well.
Late last month, Wilson performed a medley of “Peace, Love, & Cowboys (Holiday Edition)” and “Somewhere Over Laredo,” her latest studio album, during the 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also will perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Wednesday as part of its special Christmas show.
“Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” is now available on 12-inch vinyl, 7-inch vinyl and CD.
The video was created in partnership with Hershey’s.
