LaToya has attributed her diminishing figure to adopting a plant-based lifestyle. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she explained that she follows a “strictly organic” diet, consuming exclusively cruciferous vegetables – nutrient-rich produce including broccoli, arugula, kale and cabbage – as “this is what God put on the earth for us.”
LaToya initially rose to prominence as a member of the Jackson family. The fifth of ten siblings, she appeared on their television program, The Jacksons, which ran from 1976 to 1977. While not a member of the Jackson 5, she launched her own solo music career during the 1980s, achieving success with songs like If You Feel The Funk.
