The conservatory’s students and faculty performed for a wider audience, and included Latvian pianist Dzintra Erliha, who opened the concert with piano works by Alexander Scriabin and Latvian composer and pianist Lucīja Garūta.
Dzintra Erliha is a laureate of international pianist competitions; she has been teaching piano at the New York Conservatory since May 2025 and her student Philip Zhou won first place in the Little Mozart International Music Competition 2025 and performed at the competition’s closing concert at the prestigious Merkin Hall in New York.
