Former Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant is releasing a new album this week.
Plant’s “Saving Grace” is set to be released on Friday, Sept. 26. The album marks his first full-length studio album release in eight years.
The record will feature singer Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown, who make up the lineup of Plant’s backing band, Saving Grace, for whom the album is named after, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
Plant first began working on the album during the COVID-19 lockdown, when he “connected closely to this diverse group of musicians,” according to his official Instagram.
Mixing folk and blues, the album’s lineup of songs includes a cover of “Everybody’s Song” by Low.
Plant released “Everybody’s Song,” along with two more songs from the lineup, “Chevrolet” and “Gospel Plough,” on Sept. 4 in anticipation of the album.
“Saving Grace” will be the rock legend’s 12th studio album as a solo musician, after 2017’s “Carry Fire.” Plant also released nine studio albums as a member of Led Zeppelin.
Plant was a member of Led Zeppelin from its founding in 1968 to its dissolution in 1980. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
