Leonardo DiCaprio Reveals How Turning 50 Impacted His Way of Thinking, Admits He Feels 32 – Star Magazine

That explains it! In a new interview, serial younger-model-dater Leonardo DiCaprio, who turned 50 last November, admitted that he perceives his “emotional” age to be 32!

It’s become old news to note that as the Oscar winner gets older, his string of girlfriends continue to hover around age 25. (His latest, Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, is 27.) Chatting with his One Battle After Another director Paul Thomas for Esquire magazine, the Oscar winner was asked whether reaching a half-century had made him reflective.

“Your age is 50, but your emotional maturity is 32. How does that feel?” quizzed Paul, to which Leo quipped, “So they’re asking about age?”

But the never-married star said the milestone had made him realize his priorities had shifted — and he has his mom, Irmelin, to thank!

“Well, it creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time,” he said. “I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress. I look at my mother, for example, and she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it.”

As for his relationships, he says he’s more real: “Being more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risk the disagreements or risk going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life — the personal, professional — it’s that you just don’t want to waste your time anymore.”
