Escape the heat and enjoy a Hollywood classic this summer as the Tennessee Theatre hosts its “Movie Magic” film series.
General admission tickets can be purchased online via the Gay Street theater’s website for $13 plus a $2 handling fee.
Here’s this summer’s family-friendly schedule at Tennessee’s premier movie palace:
**”The Wizard of Oz,” one of the greatest movies ever made, kicks off the season 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14.
**Mel Brooks’ “Spaceballs” screens at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 14.
**”Cars,” the Disney Pixar flick with loads of celebrity voice stars, will be shown 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12.
**”Independence Day,” in keeping with the nation’s 250th birthday celebrations, is set to be shown 6 p.m. Sunday, July 12.
**”The Parent Trap” remake will be presented 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
**”Legally Blonde” closes out the season 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
The snack bar will be open for all showings. And remember, before the curtain goes up, you’ll have the chance to hear the Mighty Wurlitzer perform from the front of the house.
