Our typical ‘talking bird’ videos feature these colorful adorable menaces spouting off swear words or back talking or maybe barking like dogs. Today’s features a beautiful little Indian Ringneck Parrot who has become absolutely enamored with the song ‘Baby’ by Justin Bieber and has taken to singing it with all the conviction they have in their little bouncy body.
TikTok user @kiwiii7891 posted the video, and it’s absolutely hilarious. The parrot is adorable, the dance moves are stellar, and the rendition of the song itself? Well, you be the judge, but I think it’s pretty fantastic.
The head-bobbing boogie is right on the mark, and they hit the chorus with so much conviction and enthusiasm, it’s adorable.
Viewers can’t get enough. People want to hire him for weddings, take him to karaoke, and just want to hear more!
One commenter said, ‘Singer and dancer a total package of talent.’ Another thought that, ‘Justin Bieber would be so proud.’ Judybujee thought that it was, ‘Better than the original.’ LOL!
Why Do Parrots Have Such Good Rhythm?

If you’ve spent any time watching parrot videos, you’ll notice that some have a strong sense of rhythm! The best documented study of this was one, conducted in 2016, entitled ‘Can Birds Perceive Rhythmic Patterns? A Review and Experiments on a Songbird and a Parrot Species.’ It attempted to explore this very topic by studying (among other animals) Snowball, a sulfur-crested Cockatoo who had a strong ability to adjust all body movements with the beat in many songs.

This study pointed out that while many birds can detect simple time intervals, parrots may go further because of their unique wiring for vocal learning. That wiring links sound perception with body movement, making it easier for them to sync up with beats. In practice, that means a Cockatoo bobbing to pop music isn’t just a funny trick, it’s evidence of deeper auditory-motor skills. Scientists do stress that more research is needed to confirm how widespread this ability is.
This little Indian Ringneck Parrot is a superstar in the making! I can’t wait to see what song they tackle next.
