Downtown Greenville soon will have a new 300-seat live music setting that is versatile enough not only to present musical acts, but also to host private parties, special events and more.
Seratonic Venue & Lounge is in the AC Hotel property on Main Street at Camperdown Plaza.
John Deck, AC Hotel General Manager, says the vision for the venue is “…a space where music lovers can experience something truly special – where the acoustics are perfect, the atmosphere is sophisticated and every performance seems like a private concert.”
And unlike most music venues, table service will be available at Seratonic with a carefully curated cocktail collection and small plates, further enhancing the experience.
American Idol Season 7 winner David Cook will be the first official live performer on August 16. It’s an acoustic show, and both general admission and VIP seats are available. Cook has continued to write and perform since his Idol win, and has racked up several Billboard Hot 100 hits, platinum singles and albums and numerous industry awards. He even appeared on Broadway in Kinky Boots in 2018.
Aly Cutter, based out of Nashville, will have a two-night run on August 22nd and 23rd. She’s bringing her very talented band with her. One aspect of Aly’s concerts is that she takes generally well-known songs and puts her own interesting twists on them.
Jara Ward, who will play September 19th and 20th with her band as part of euphoria weekend, is originally a Missoula, Montana, girl who currently resides in Nashville. Her website says she’s “fueled by her tenacity and the love of a good country song.” I’ve listened to some of her music, and that description fits well.
