New Zealand singer Lorde kicked off her Ultrasound World Tour in Texas on Wednesday. And, as expected, her on-stage performance was one for the books. The singer not only debuted to a sold-out crowd, but also left fans ecstatic with her raw and emotional performance. Singer’s tour will end in December in Stockholm.

Lorde’s raw and emotional performance was one for the books

The crowd went crazy when Lorde performed at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on September 17. The singer opened the show with songs from her acclaimed new album, “Virgin.” Her set list also included songs like “Hammer”, “Royals”, “Broken Glass”, “Buzzcut Season”, “Current Affairs”, and “Supercut”, along with many others from her albums.

But, what impressed the crowd the most was the star’s raw and emotional performance. “Thank you for being so raw and open on stage, this connection is really special,” wrote one fan in the comment section of Lorde’s Instagram post. Another fan echoed the same sentiment, saying, “Seeing you live is always otherworldly and truly special, can’t wait to see what’s under the skin.” At the same time, many admitted they were eagerly waiting to see her next performance.

Lorde’s Ultrasound World Tour will be the singer’s biggest world tour yet. This is Lorde’s first trek since 2021’s Solar Power Tour. She will reportedly perform in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

As per Variety, the 28-year-old songwriter will make stops at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Her full tour will end at Stockholm’s Annexet on December 9.

In a newsletter message to fans, as per azcentral, Lorde said of the Ultrasound World Tour, “Since last time I’ve been stripping away unnecessary layers, finding us more room to move. I think that Ultrasound could be our masterpiece. Very proud and excited … Come see what’s under the skin.”
