In addition to these nominations, Alyson Humphery-Smith, a dedicated music teacher at A.C. Steere Elementary School, has been named a quarterfinalist for the 2026 Grammy Music Educator Award.
This honor recognizes educators who have made substantial contributions to music education. The final recipient will be announced prior to the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Jon Batiste -Nominated for three awards: Best American Roots Performance for “Lonely Avenue,” Best Americana Album for Big Money, and Best American Roots Song for Big Money.
Branford Marsalis Quartet – Nominated for the Best Jazz Instrumental Album for the album “Belonging.”
Lainey Wilson – Nominated in three categories: Best Country Solo Performance for “Somewhere Over Laredo,” Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Trailblazer” featuring Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, and Best Country Song for “Somewhere Over Laredo.”
PJ Morton – Nominated for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “Amazing” and for Best Gospel Album for “Heart of Mine.”
Buddy Guy – Nominated for the Best Traditional Blues Album for “Ain’t Done With the Blues.”
Bobby Rush – Both artists received a nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album for their album “Young Fashioned Ways.”
The nominees for the Best Regional Roots Music Album include Corey Henry & The Treme Funktet with their album Live at Vaughan’s,Preservation Brass & Preservation Hall Jazz Band with For Fat Man, Kyle Roussel with Church of New Orleans, and Trombone Shorty & New Breed Brass Band with Second Line Sunday.
The category also includes several artists nominated with the A Tribute To The King Of Zydeco album.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
The ceremony will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
