The Queen of Pop made a surprise appearance at Coachella on Friday night, performing with one of the rising Princesses of Pop. It was the second weekend of Sabrina Carpenter headlining, and the Man’s Best Friend artist welcomed the iconic Madonna to the stage for three songs — including a new one.
Carpenter used the “Juno” position moment of the set as the transition into Madonna’s “Vogue,” which the pair then performed together. After “Vogue,” the duo debuted a new song — seemingly called “Bring Your Love,” we’re not sure yet — from Madonna’s upcoming Confessions II album before the Material Girl took to the mic for some reminiscing about performing at Coachella 20 years ago.
“Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella,” Madonna said. “I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed Confessions on a Dance Floor part one in America. And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is to be back 20 years later.”
The pair closed out the featured segment with an incredible performance of her 1989 hit “Like A Prayer.”
Madonna’s Confessions II album is set to be released on July 3.
